HEY GUYS! I hope you all are doing extremely well! I hope you guys are really enjoying this new warm weather. Sometimes it’s super cosy and then BAM it starts to rain. So here I am today, giving you some deets on my latest outfit fit for cosy/rainy days this month.

Today’s blog is ‘When skies are grey’, it involves a ribbed sweater dress, black leather leggings, midi heeled boots and fur faux elegant coat. ENJOY!

 

The black leggings I’m wearing above aren’t your typical spray on tight leggings. They’re comfortably lose in that they feel like they look like they’re super tight but they’re actually only just hugging your legs. It’s lose from the knees down, making it slightly more halal ahah AND comfortable for people who don’t prefer very tight bottoms. The leggings are very stretchy and leather only along the side of them, making not SO warm for relatively warm weather this month.

This sweater dress is ribbed and they come down passed your behind, super convenient with leggings! It isn’t very very warm, but warm enough for spring weather when it randomly gets windy. The sweater is nice and stretchy, hugs your body just right.

THIS COAT IS SO COSY & ELEGANT! If you’re into looking classy in the winter then bam fur is your thing! The fur along the collar of this coat, really makes you feel like a boss when you wear this, it’s also super warm. The grey colour doesn’t stain as easily as lighter colours, and the material stiff making it stain proof and warm.

Hi guys! Hope you all are doing extremely well!

It’s been quite windy during the past week in Sydney, it’s been so windy I haven’t been able to stand still outdoors. The wind would literally topple me over ahah! In such cold weather, it’s nice to wear a coat or knitwear to keep warm. However it’s even better to really keep warm in the wind, with a fur faux coat attire, that really helps fight the chills in the frosty mornings and nights. Which brings me to todays blog, ‘Lilac Drapes <3’.

This outfit consists of a super comfortable maxi called the ‘Natasha Drape Ruched Maxi Dress’ in the colour lilac. Lilac is one of my favouritest colours, so being able to wear a bright colour in the winter was quite fun for me haha!

The outfit consists of a Snow Bunny Fur Faux vest which is extremely warm and super classy at the same time. And lastly the outfit consists of a Kate Spade trendy handbag to compliment the attire.

 

This dress is entirely made of jersey material, which makes means it’s very stretchy, therefore very easy to work with. It isn’t cotton so it doesn’t feel as cold to wear this material in the winter. It is full length, and full sleeve, very hijab friendly, but ladies PLEASE wear a pair of leggings underneath because it DOES have a slit along the front of the dress. Hey guys! Happy Winter! Today’s blog is a mix of a rib knit and a gorgeous lace trouser. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged so let’s get right into it before winter starts getting warm ahah.

Here’s the outfit:

So let’s explore the rib knit first. As we can see it’s a deep brick colour, which is sort of reddish orange. I wore this sweater with the pants to let some colour pop from my outfit. This shade of red is one of my favourite colours, during winter it looks great amidst the lack of sun and bright afternoons. It’s a heavy rib knit, so perfect for the insanely cold mornings when you’re off to work/school.

Next we have the really trendy lace trouser. You don’t really find many trousers that are entirely lace do you? I was quite surprised when I was gifted this trouser, I was surprised to see how well it worked as a lace attire. I’ve seen lace skirts, dresses and top, but not pants. Because of the light weight lace layer over the pants, the actual pair of pants are made of thick polyester, which is favourable for winter. Due to the weight, wind doesn’t penetrate the material as well as most wide legged pants.

YES I know apologies I am late again. These are meant to be summer blogs but it’s autumn already kehehe.

There’s never a set time to dress glam! Remember that! You still wear bright colours on a gloomy autumn if you feel that it’s suitable, you do you babe ;).. I’m so weird ANYWAY moving on.

Welcome to today’s blog, the last one for this long super hot summer: Crystal skies & jade.

This super bright and vibrant attire consists of a lavender body top + a pleated high waisted chiffon skirt in cyan.

This outfit is so so simple and so so glam. It’s the perfect outfit to rock at beach as the waves crash against your feet. It’s the perfect outfit for an afternoon high tea, and even a girls night out to karoke!

The bright colours portray a very liberating and happy effect on your confidence as you walk through a beach or subway. When you wear this outfit you instantly feel beautiful and eye catching, the jade and the cyan work so so well together.

This pleated cyan high waisted maxi skirt is of chiffon material. It’s therefore so so light and absolutely blows with the wind on warm days. As it blows up it looks so eye catching from afar, almost resembles a hovering fluorescent clouds from a distant.

The pleats give the skirt a very elegant look, making it an attire suitable not only casual beach days, but also lunches or dinners with friends at a party. A pleated dress is also very easy to move around in, gives ample leg space.

The jade top is a body top that I always blog about in many of my previous blog posts. Body tops are so comfortable and easy. They come in so many colours and just stick to your body. In summer it really feels like you’re not wear anything at all. They’re super stretchy and fits onto all body shapes.

Hope you all are doing extremely well! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yes I know, I’m like almost 2 weeks late, but hey, I still hope you guys had both a relaxing and joyous holiday break.

We’re in the second month of Summer, January. January is definitely notorious for it’s continuous heat waves. Especially during the onset of the a new year, the heat peaks to whopping 42 degrees! And in such weather, for a hijabi, it is absolutely blissful to be in full covered clothing, but feel like we’re absolutely wearing nothing.

You’ll see just that, in today’s blog: Snow Flake 🙂. The dress we’ll be exploring today is a High Waisted V-Neck Long Sleeve Chiffon Maxi Dress. In simple terms, it’s a white abaya ahah.

Stunning right?  I felt like a floating cloud on the beach ahah!

The dress is a fully chiffon dress. It’s got elastic along the waist and wrists, and a few bottons up the bust. It is 100% white and so light that it’s actually a see through dress! I know what is this haramness ahah.

The dress was SO comfortable when I wore it in the heat wave that I really tried to figure out how I could halalify the bottom half of the dress. Even wearing tights wasn’t making the outfit too proper for outside wear, my legs were still prominent from over the dress.

So from East Essence, I purchased a cotton White Everyday Flowy Skirt. Just as comfortable! It’s simple, very flowy (therefore easy to handle), plus it has slight elastic along the waist which fits just right underneath the white abaya. What’s better is, it’s ON SALE as you can see below!

Wow 2016 is finally coming to an end! Yet another year has absolutely flown by and I’ve just been in such awe as to where the time has all gone. 2017 rolling in? Really ahah? But alhamdulilah!

The heat wave’s been quite on and off in the last few weeks of December. We’ve had two to three days of immense heat, in exchange with two to three days of slight rain, cloudy, semi warm days. God mercy’s infinite ❤ 

I’ve been a big fan of wearing vibrant, lose clothing during the summer, but I never really explored printed dresses or skirts. This summer, I came across a vibrant, lose and floral dress! It sat in my room after I bought it for a week or two, and every time my eyes laid on it, I looked back at it again twice, three times, it’s just SO stunning. Eye catching to say the least.

My eyes still draw to the gorgeous baby pink flowers, they’re so big, they almost twinkle against the navy blue polyester!

The dress is of polyester material, and for those who have visited my blog before, you know I’m quite a fan! It’s so light, and easy to work with in the summer. It doesn’t absorb heat at all, rather really allows the slightest wind to flow through and favour a cool temperature standing.

Around the wrists and along the hem of the dress, the dress is sewn in a ‘frillneck’ style. This means, that the wrists and the bottom of the dress are slightly pleated, tight at the top and lose towards the bottom; resembling a frilneck. Much like the ones on the lizard!.. But this one’s got flowers on it haha!

As you can see, the dress has a slit. This is because the dress is actually a wrap, which ties with a ribbon of the same material. This is much like the dress in my first summer blog this year ‘Apricot Cross V’, except this dress doesn’t have a V.

To halalify the slit I wore a pair of white leggings to match up with the white undertones of the brilliant flowers on the dress.

I purchased both the leggings and the dress from the same store, slowly reaching the top of my favourite hijab stores in Sydney; Street Gear!

Street Gear is located in  Lakemba, the hub of Islamic attire/food/books/groceries etc! What’s amazing is that they’ve been around even before the 1990s selling modest clothings for sisters alhamdulilah! They’re even open til 9pm almost everyday! So you can ALWAYS pop in and grab any of their eye catching abayas/dress/skirts/trousers/leggings and even shawls.

Their prices are really reasonable! I only got this dress for $30. They even have dresses for only $25 and even $20. They’re so comfy and they have an abundance of styles from simple, floral, casual and to even formal!

They posted my dress to me after I DM-ed (direct messaged) them on instagram. It arrived in the mail within a few days.

Salaams guys! Hope the heat is treating you well 🙂 . Yes, damn it’s been hot ahaha.

When I say ‘summer clothing’ or ‘summer blogs’, I usually think of clothes I can wear on bright hot day to the beach, or to a brunch outing. But summer isn’t always about  sunny days and the vibrant maxi dresses on the sand. We have humid days too. Many humid days here in Sydney for sure, maybe 4/7days of the week is an immense cloudy day, with air as hot as a sauna.

So what outfits can we rock on those days? And that’s where I come in 🙂

The outfit I will be blogging on today is the perfect outfit to rock on a humid summer’s day as the rain cloud approach down to the evening.

This outfit is fit for those humid yet windy summer days. And here’s why.

The top I’m wearing is a nude lace top from Urban Culture! Yes, I know, I’m kinda sorta tad bit obsessed with that place ahah!:’) It is make of polyester material, making it very light on the body. It’s lace, further emphasising the weightless effect of the material. It also super hijab friendly, as if very comfortably drapes and covers our behind if we decide to wear the top with leggings or skinny legs.

The top is of a ‘peplum’ style, it’s fitting and good for both formal and informal occasions. It’s lace, it looks great ALL the time! 🙂

To compliment the lace top, I’ve worn a pair of Palazzo pants, also called ‘Wide-Leg Pants’, OH SO COMFY ❤

These pants are so flowy, it almost feels like you have nothing on. Absolutely does not stick to your legs, allowing immense amounts of breeze/winds to penetrate through to our bodies. The material for these pants is chiffon, again which is very light weight and easy to handle in summer. It does not absorb any heat, rather reflects it leaving a tolerable temperature onto the bottom half of our bodies. 

Palazzo pants are generally worn for comfort, whether it’s for pyjama purposes, or for a night out (like myself). They appear as a skirt when worn, but are actually pants, which makes it easier to manoeuvre if too much wind blows the material away, our legs trap the pants down and prevent them from flying away with too much wind, hence leaving coverage and a halal appearance! 

They are also so lose, you wouldn’t have to go to the trouble of wearing a long top! A body top should do FINE 🙂

Salaams guys! IT’S SUMMER WOO! 🙂 Damn I’ve been waiting so long for this time, Sydney’s winter’s great, but I’ve immensely missed sway maxi skirts and floral dresses/abayas. The wait’s over(:  YAY!

So thank God unlike last year, I am very much in time for Summer, it’s only been 5 days of Summer, and I can tell you, the sun is definitely in. It has been SO hot, but alhamdulilah, that means, beach days are on it’s way! But please do stay hydrated and have your SPF+ ahaha!

This stunning dress is called the ‘Apricot Cross V Split Side Maxi Dress’.

So here’s what I did. The dress has a very deep V neck coupled with a very long split at the front. Red flags aye? Not so hijab friendly ahah. But I tweaked the outfit a little to shape it into an abaya style!

To close the V neck, I safety pinned it together but then also, draped my hijab over that area twice to completely conceal not only the awkward pin, but the tight appearance the closed V left behind.

It is a chiffon material dress, perfect for summer as the breeze ever so easily permeates the material to cater for our cooling off. It’s also a very light material, also an advantage for wind absorption and heat control. The scarf is of a ‘cream’ colour and in rectangular shape.

I purchased my scarf from Urban Culture! Their scarves are $10, and the cottons ones are even cheaper :)!

To close up the long split of the dress, I wore a jersey maxi shirt of a colour VERY similar to the dress colour underneath. So that when I was moving around in the dress, people weren’t able to tell that the dress is actually deeply cut open. The dress and my max skirt underneath flowed simultaneously as I moved around.

And that’s another thing about both jersey materials incorporated in this outfit, they are stretchy, hence super smooth to handle and manage. Only down side to this material is that the stains aren’t easy to remove due to it’s intense stretchy/dense texture, and that it’s slightly heavier than polyester material attires.

I purchased my maxi skirt also from Urban Culture and the skirt’s are usually $30 and cheaper. They come in more colours than nude, there’s a gorgeous plum one too!

To finish winter off, today’s blog, blush corporate attire 🙂

This outfit consists of a breasted coat, a rib knit and peep-toe heels. All works together beautifully, giving a semi-smart-casual corporate look.

I got this gorgeous blush breasted coat from our very own ForeverNew! The many girls I’ve seen both on Instagram and in person with this coat on is amazing. So if you’re one woman who doesn’t own one of these coats yet, is clearly missing out ahah!

This single breasted coat in blonde is made from a premium melton blend. It has enamel buttons down the centre front placket finished with silver hardware. Cute seam detail on the cuffs as well as a seamed waist with subtle front pleats for a flattering and feminine look. This shoe is called the ‘Damita’, it’s made of very soft leather material, very comfy around the foot (especially for small feeted people like me). The foam innersole and rubber outsole definitely adds to more comfort, more so for under the foot. This sole manufacturing is very handy for a long night out constantly on our feet. It really reduces the intense pressure that we endure after a few hours of standing in standard platforms. The bow design at the peep-toe region of heel definitely adds to the cuteness of the shoe! 🙂
